Elasticated knickers that creep up your bum cheeks and tights that are impossible to put on, and sag around the gusset after only a few hours of wear.
Underwear and tights should be the foundation of our outfit, not a distraction. The garments that give us the security and confidence to go about our day knowing that we’re supported.
That’s why we set up The Big Bloomers Company in Cornwall in 2007.
Focus on fit & quality
We found that women’s underwear and hosiery needs weren’t being met by traditional high street brands, particularly if you were over a size 16. Stores claiming to sell underwear up to 6XL simply didn’t have the stock or, if they did, the products were poorly made and ill-fitting.
From the beginning, our focus has been on quality and fit. We source and manufacture all of our products in the UK and Italy using our own, specialised production techniques. We use the finest, high-grade, technical materials on the market, for softness, stretch and durability.

Conscious that no one size fits all, we rigorously test all of our products on real women across the full range of our sizes, who give us their feedback and help guide our innovation.
We don’t overpromise, we pride ourselves in our honesty. If a garment isn’t working, we’ll go back to the drawing board and refine it until it meets our customers’ needs.
